“Amazing app to learn about Modular synthesis.”
Well.. I’m nowhere near getting my head round this but I can see what an incredible app it is ! The gui is superb and I have managed to make something that resembles the start of a musical track . It’s fun and has huge potential. Add to that the multitude of other apps and effects I have to play with in AUM, along with other musical instruments I can play in via my Irig and I don’t think it will be too long before I have a good track .
“no alternatives.”
Audulus 4 is the freedom of creativity, compact, intuitive, powerful.
“A complete modular music making solution.”
If you are interested, you can not only build synths, but build the modules that make up the synth. This means audulus 4 is such an incredibly deep app, you can build almost anything you can imagine. If you ever dreamed of max or pd on your iPad, this will scratch your itch and it’s much more beautifully presented. This could be the only music app you buy… an inspiring and attractive musical playground!
“Wonderful”
I’m a long time audulus 3 user. This is a superb step forward. A brilliant music making environment. You can work high level like using euro rack or you can dive into an almost dsp level of detail
“Incredible new version”
I’ve used Audulus since the very first release, and so didn’t hesitate with this new version. And it really is stunning. There are many excellent synth/audio apps that I’m tempted by, but time and again I’m left thinking that practically everything I see could just as well be implemented within Audulus - and a whole lot more. There’s no denying that there is a learning curve; but it’s those unexpected ideas that hit you along the way that really make it worthwhile. Patches can be as complex or as simple as you need, but complexity isn’t always a requirement. And once the basic structures are understood, experimentation flows quite intuitively. This is incredible software to have available on iOS.
“Essential for Exploration and Experimentation.”
It’s wayyyyy better than max/msp and costs a tiny fraction of the price. This app is truly a gift.
“Great visual programming language app for sound design and more!”
A deep but with simple interface app with real time processing , you are the limit on what you can do with it, very helpful community and support!
“Great Support from Developer.”
They have video tutorials, a Discord, and a website. The app is complex but there’s enough first class support to get started. They will help you with projects you want to do.
“Perfect”
Audulus is a class of its own. Incredibly sounding. Version 4 comes with exciting new modules and features, and lots of beautifully crafted presets to give you new ideas. Since I found the presets within seconds I don’t understand the 1-star-review. Certainly, this app requires an explorative mindset not everyone has, but thankfully, you can try before you buy. If you‘ve ever been sorry you missed the experimental, preset-free stage of early 70s sound design with its analog modular Synths, and if you find their virtual iOS versions are not quite the same (and you lack the cash for vintage or contemporary modular hardware), here‘s your chance of digging deep with the tools of our times.
“Best modular synth on iOS.”
This app is absolutely incredible and gives you all the tools you need to make literally any part of a synth if you want to get that involved. also an active community of people making patches so even if you just bought it to play with patches posted online, you’ve got virtually endless synths to play with.
“Excellence”
If you’re into modular synths and especially DSP audio programming like in Max MSP, Reaktor or Pure Data, Audulus is an absolute 100% must have. Completely unrivalled on iOS. Bonus, it also does GSGL style Shaders and procedural LUA script graphics.
“Audulus 4 is fantastic!”
Audulus 4 is the stuff of dreams if, like me, you like to tinker and customize and are in love with sound. I’ve been able to design synths and effects to suit my interests. It has been great both for creating sounds I never thought I’d be able to make -- but also for understanding how sound "works".
“Best app for synthesis or eurorack integration”
This app is by far the best iPad app for hans-on learning of audio synthesis concepts, patching up your own digital modular patch, or integrating with actual hardware! Great community to interact with if you have any questions or want to share any ideas/creations.
